A family transition

Why are these cats looking for new homes?

My mother lovingly raised golden shaded British cats as a small breeder. Now she is retiring and plans to return to her hometown, so she has made the difficult decision to close this chapter. She is deeply attached to every cat and is only looking for safe, loving, long-term homes. For the right family, adoption fees may be discussed.

Before becoming a breeder, she worked as a veterinary nurse in her hometown. That experience shaped the patient, attentive way she has always cared for animals.

Why share their background?

Our parent cats were selected from established Viva Vogue lines for their British breed type, shaded coats, and gentle temperaments. Based on our family’s purchase experience, breeding cats of similar lineage may cost approximately $3,000–$6,000, while comparable kittens are often listed from $1,500. Our adoption fees are intentionally lower because finding the right long-term homes matters more to us than maximizing profit.

Lineage is shared as family background and does not guarantee an individual cat’s health or temperament. Loving home care, early socialization, and appropriate veterinary care remain essential.

A sweet new beginning

Ready to welcome a sweet new family member?

Complete our short application and share as much as you feel comfortable. Thoughtful details help us understand whether the match may be right. Home photos are optional—you may upload them in the form or email them later to amorxia91@gmail.com.

Selected applicants receive a brief phone interview. If both sides would like to continue, meeting details are confirmed privately by text. Meeting a cat does not require either side to complete the adoption.

Clear answers

What should I know before applying?

Why are the adoption fees lower than usual?+

Our family is preparing for retirement, so this is not about maximizing profit. Fees are kept accessible to help more good families find us. Every applicant is still carefully screened, and placement is never first-come, first-served.

Does meeting a cat mean the adoption is final?+

No. After the initial application review, approved families are invited to meet the cats in Ontario, California. After the visit, either side may decide that the match is not right—there is no pressure to proceed.

What if life changes after adoption?+

Please contact us first. If you move, face an emergency, or can no longer provide care, the cat may be returned to us. We do not allow our cats to be abandoned, surrendered elsewhere, or transferred to another person without our knowledge.

How have the cats been cared for?+

They have been raised freely at home with daily care and affection—never kept in cages. They are used to friendly cats and two small dogs. Their primary caregiver previously worked as a veterinary nurse in her hometown, and individual vaccination records can be reviewed during the adoption process.

What is the expected fee?+

Current adoption fees range from $500–$1,200. Exact fees are listed with each cat. Special care pricing is available for selected cats who are welcomed home together.
